The sellers
Of fruit
Cereals
Plants and fish
Laid out their merchandise
Under the market
Tents
And then
Visited
And greeted
One another
With wishes for
Good business.

Not all of them
Followed
The same sect,
But they knew
That to exist
Always depends on a contract.

Nowadays
On Saturdays
They have their backs turned
To each other,
In their eyes
Can be read mistrust and,

Uniting them,
Walking in their midst
There are stray
Dogs.
